Doctor Alexandria Seraphina Iota or Dr. Iota, a roboticist and the creator/mother of Chevron. Though she is not a Scarf Hero, her involvement in the series is still up in arms.
In the late 21st century, the world had been slowly moving towards a new technological Renaissance; while robots had become more commonplace, humanoid robots were not yet present, that is, until 2083. At this time, Lex Iota, a university senior, had been working endlessly on her graduation project. This project was the creation of a fully aware humanoid robot, and this machine would later be called Chevron Iota, whom she treated as her own daughter. Shortly afterwards, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from university, with a Doctorate in Robotics. The creation of Chevron would only begin her legacy, as went on to build 7 other robots. Their locations at this time are currently unknown.
Dr. Iota can appear to be aloof and distant at times, and approaching her can be rather unnerving at times. Despite her achievements in robotics, she suffers from self-doubt, and forgets to eat at times. Doggedly determined, she has been known to shut herself away for hours in order to concentrate on a certain task. A perfectionist at heart, she will not cease until she feels she has put out work that fully demonstrates her capabilities as an engineer. She appears to be extremely protective of her daughters, and keeps a close eye on them whenever they are in public.
In her private life, Dr. Iota could best be described as a woman with very eclectic interests. While she rarely leaves her lab, she has said she enjoys classical music, opera, and the occasional bingewatch of anime. While she lacks the aptitude for botany, Chevron inspired her to build an arboretum, an indoor botanical garden where Chevron used to live. She built her a small cottage within the artificially created forest. Chevron has told her she dreams of becoming a princess, so this was most likely done to help her achieve that dream in a small way.
Standing at 5'1, she appears to be of Asian descent, with dark brown hair, olive skin, and hazel eyes. She wears a pair of thick framed red glasses, and normally pulls her hair back into a red scrunchie. Normally, she wears a clean, white labcoat, dark grey slacks, and black shoes. She will never appear when she looks dirty or disheveled; she is rather prim and proper at times. Her nails are often neat and painted, she prefers a bright red color.
Abilities and Weaknesses
Iota is extremely intelligent, with an IQ of about 235. She's a brilliant engineer, and her contributions have been crucial to the introduction of humanoid robots in the late 21st century. She is extremely skilled when it comes to computer science and technology, and is no stranger to repairing machines of all types. When cornered, she seems to be capable of defending herself, as she had received martial arts training as a teenager. However, she is not physically strong, and can still be overwhelmed by brute force. If she has access to a broom, she can use it like a bo staff.
Relationships with other characters
Chevron- She has known Chevron since she was a few lines of code. It took her about 4 years to write the base AI for her, but the body was completed in under 9 months. She acts as a mother figure towards her, and treats the robot as her firstborn daughter.
Daf- Dr. Iota met Daf through Chevron. Initially, she was annoyed with Daf, but her daughter's positive attitude and his true nature resulted in her having a change of heart. She treats the multi like her son now, and would do anything to help him out.
The Iota ( Ι, ι ), is the 9th letter of the Greek alphabet. Additionally, it can be used in some programming languages to represent an array of consecutive integers.
Additionally, her true nationality has is assumed to be Korean, as she is fluent in Korean, English, and Binary.
She learned binary to connect with robots on a more base level. That and she must have an understanding in order to code.
