Chevron is a character who's role still remains ambiguous.
Chevron Lotus Iota (Serial Number DIN-000) is the first in a series of fully self-aware humanoid robots created by Doctor Alexandria Seraphina Iota. Due to the unique nature of her programming, Chevron was not given a function, but had the ability to choose her own interests. Originally, she was seen as a daughter by Dr. Iota, and worked as a lab assistant while she worked in creating her other sisters. However, ever since Iota was captured, Chevron has yet to see her mother/creator again.
Chevron is extremely timid, but in so, she is very polite and courteous. She was given a full understanding of manners and common courtesy before activation, and she has been that way since day one. Despite her demure and shy nature, Chevron developed a fascination with biology, specifically biology dealing with animals and plants. In so, she can be found taking care of plants often, and will never turn away an animal (or creature) in need. Her kindness seemingly has no bounds, as she will do anything she can to be helpful, even if there is no reward or gain. She is a vegetarian, but will prepare items (such as hamburgers or hot dogs) for her friends.
However, this gentle nature can be a double edged sword. Chevron is apprehensive of strangers, but can also be too trusting and rather gullible at times. This might be due to her wish to see the good in everyone, and although she is rather intelligent, her emotions seem to be in charge most of the time.
Her sheltered life has left her very naive, and she is too kind and too quick to trust strangers. At times, she can be afraid of her own shadow, and soft-spoken when expected to speak up. She has no real weapon systems, and can be very vulnerable in combat situations. Chevron detests those who act uppity, and though she’s slow to anger, repeated cases of injustice will make her angry. Pushing her too far may result in a crying fit, making her look like a crybaby. She fears most things, but failure and the loss of loved ones will cripple her.
When she becomes friendly with people, she will become less shy and reclusive. She is prone to cracking jokes, specifically puns, and is rather impetuous and silly. However, this never gets in the way of her kind nature, as she would never go too far with her teasing.
Though she is not human, her appearance has been deceiving. She has no skintone, making her appear extremely pale. She has long, raven black hair that reaches past her thighs, and soft green eyes. Due to an imperfection in her eyes, she needs to use a pair of spectacles in order to see clearly. Normally, she'll wear a periwinkle hoodie with a large magenta "V", as this is an inverted chevron. Underneath this, she wears a cyan tank top, denim jeans, and pink converse. She wears a pair of grey fingerless gloves, and will normally have pink fingernails.Standing at 5'10 tall, her skeleton is composed of a tungsten carbide alloy, with self-lubricating joints and plasma energy deliverance system. If she becomes embarrassed or flustered, she will blush a soft shade of blue.
Abilities and Weaknesses
Due to the complexity of Chevron’s AI, she is able to respond accordingly to vague or simple cues, much like a human. Additionally, despite having a full range of emotion, these processes cannot short out her neurological functions, though they can be disabled. She is a self-taught seamstress and baker, but does not use these abilities to make a profit. Her brain is what is commonly referred to as a ‘positronic’ brain, and currently holds 24 zettabytes of memory storage. This allows her to store entire databases worth of information, but it is not always reliable. Her metal skeleton allows her enhanced physical abilities; she is able to lift a maximum of 50,000 pounds, and she can reach speeds of about 60 MPH when conditions are optimal.
Chevron is a coward, and will run away from danger most of the time. However, if a friend is in trouble, she will risk her life to save them, as she sees her life as less valuable. She lacks self-confidence, and will often cower when things begin to turn sour. She is not equipped with any weapon systems, and hates resorting to violence. She is extremely proficient with a whip, and though it cannot inflict fatal damage, it has saved her from injury on many occasions. For unknown reasons, Chevron has a habit of falling asleep often. Some say this could be the robotic equivalent of narcolepsy, but this remains undetermined.
Relationships With Other Characters
Chevron met Daf when he was still a ginger ale vendor, she was hus temporary place to stay. They were like siblings. However Daf moved out after joining the Scarf Heroes. After hearing heard of how he was doing she joined to help the cause of Scarf Heroes.
Chevy knows of Chain through stories from Daf, she wants to meet the mysterious person that was Daf's best friend.
Her creator and mother. Though she is separated from her mother, she has a loving relationship with the doctor.
"Oh dear!" (often)
"Doesn't matter what you look like to me! What matters is your heart...a golden heart can outshine a million diamonds..."
- A chevron is often used in heraldry as a V shaped pattern. Interestingly enough, Chevron is also the name of a fossil fuel company. Ironically, she does not use fossil fuels to run.
